Ed stands at 6'0. He's lean and average in build, with long black hair and a (shorter) beard, both of which are firmly in their salt-and-pepper era. He usually wears his hair half-up, but sometimes it's styled in a messy bun or let loose.
In the Abraxan real world, he'll dress closer to the styles available in Solvunn, and may occasionally wear his hair in Viking braids to match the locals. In the Horizon, he'll prefer his leathers. When he gets his hands on some jewellery, he'll favour rings, necklaces, and—every so often—an earring.

Though Ed has his moments of calm, it usually isn't long before some turbulence takes over. He talks a lot to fill the silence and has a habit of talking to himself, too. He's moody, sometimes frenetic, and his attention is often scattered. You get the sense his mind is like a hamster wheel. Conversational details can be forgotten in an instant, and if his thoughts are elsewhere, he might not hear you at all.

At his best, he's charismatic, sharp, and possesses the magnetic charm of a man who's used to being admired by his peers. At his worst, he's sullen, impulsive, and self-destructive. Ed speaks with a distinctive New Zealand accent, which is probably the first thing you'll notice about his voice. His tone tends to give his feelings away unless he's deliberately hiding them. If he's excited or upset, you'll know.

Ed occasionally gets a luck effect, activated at random and due to completely absurd circumstances, like an apple falling from a tree and launching a frog into a bear's face, thus saving him from being mauled to death.
Bioluminescence
Ed's tattoos now glow under the moonlight.

Ed can sprout tentacles when underwater, allowing him to squirt ink and...yeah, that's about it.

The Inn
Ed is the innkeeper of Solvunn's very own Inn & Tavern & Fine Gift Shop. It's located a bit to the side, in between the Primary and Secondary settlements. Makes for a nice rest stop!
